Translating Collocations in the Qur’an from Arabic into English: A Particular Reference to Surah Al-Fatiha

Translation is a cultural communicative process, exchange between two different languages. In such text conversion, the translator heart of process since, as moderator languages, choices s/he makes are often (un)consciously influenced by various variables, his/her identity or state national identity. This paper contributes to current body knowledge in this area, focusing on Qur’anic collocations and approaching collocational phenomenon rhetoric from linguistic perspectives. Specifically, study examined multiple translated versions embedded within Surah Al-Fatiha. To operate analysis, we employed functional model assessment (Zhang, 2018) which four categories factors presented: religion, customs, regions, background. Broadly, concludes that: 1) translators more than not faced complications with respect lexicality, 2) should have been significantly cognizant nature pragmatic appreciate better gaps that exist Arabic English concepts beliefs.
